I was looking forward to this Dining with Dad all week! That’s a lie. I picked this one at least two weeks ago so I’ve been looking forward to it at least that long. Mr. Sushi is one of our favorite sushi restaurants. Megan, Chloe, and I often go to Mr. Sushi on Saturday nights that Alex is working and then head over to 101 Craft Beer Kitchen where Alex works and sit at the bar bugging him as he walks by on nights he works.

I was looking at the menu in case Alex wanted something warm instead of just sushi. Most of the sushi he cannot have with the shellfish allergy so I was trying to give him all the options. I saw the Gyoza on the menu and mentioned it to the kids and they were IN! For all those that don’t know what Gyoza is, it’s just potstickers. We went with fried instead of steamed, as anything fried is so much better!

Alex asked if they had smoked salmon since he had that the last time we had sushi. We did find it on the Nigiri menu so he went with that of course. I had one little bite of his and it was fantastic! I LOVE smoked salmon and it had just the right amount of smokiness. Alex thought it was too smokey but I disagree. We then were able to find some other non shellfish sushi that he could have so we got the Buckeye Roll and Anchorage Roll, both of which were made with salmon instead of any crab or shrimp. Chloe picked her two go-to rolls that she gets every time we go. She always gets the Kinky Roll and Sexy Roll. The first time she ordered them she was a bit embarrassed to even mention them to me simply because of the names of them but no more! She loves them so much she’ll say them loud and proud now! I didn’t order anything myself since I like everything they picked and that would be plenty of food, which it was. It was yet another fantastic trip to Mr. Sushi!
