Columbus Fish Market
It’s been a while since we’ve had some good seafood for Dining with Dad so this week we headed down to Columbus Fish Market. I thought it was a Cameron Mitchell restaurant but when we walked in, they had a sign at the host stand telling all the patrons that it is NOT associated with Cameron Mitchell and that you cannot use their gift cards there. After a quick google search I found that Cameron Mitchell sold Columbus Fish Market.
We had reservations since I wasn’t sure how busy it would be. We were seated right away in a booth near the edge of the restaurant. We were quickly approached by John our server. I rarely remember our server’s names but Chloe made mention of how she just loved John. While John worked on our drinks we looked over the menu to decide on if we would get some appetizers or not. By the time John brought our drinks back, we all had decided on our choices.
Chloe and I were looking at the “All in” meals. You get to select from a list of appetizers, entrees, and then a dessert. We both decided to go that route. Alex was thinking about doing the same but ultimately decided on something else. However, he wanted to have an appetizer as well so he went with the Caesar salad. Chloe and I both went for the ever delicious Lobster Bisque.

Chloe was the first to decide on what she wanted. I’m sure those that have been keeping tabs on these posts can probably guess what Chloe chose. That’s right, she went with the Crab Cakes and shrimp. She was a little worried about all the fixings that came with it and if she’d have room to eat it all, but she managed pretty well!

As I mentioned, Alex was looking at the “All-in” choices as well. He was thinking about getting the Steak Frites. However, he ultimately decided on the Cedar roasted salmon instead. Unfortunately he didn’t like it. It wasn’t bad enough that he didn’t eat it, just didn’t care for it he said. I tried a bite and I think I would agree with him. It was good but just not my taste either. We’ll have to go back sometime so Alex can try something else.

It was finally my time to order. If Chloe hadn’t gotten the Crab Cakes and Shrimp, I think I might have. She was nice enough to let me try both of hers. The next best thing that sounded good to me was the Stuffed Cod. It was delicious. In trade for Chloe’s, I gave her a bite of my stuffed cod and she agreed it was delicious!
