The first thing I noticed when taking the feature photo was how dark it was when we arrived at CM Chicken. It’s become the time of year when we can’t get out to Dining with Dad until after the sun sets. That’s one interesting thing I notice when going back looking at the past posts’ feature photos, along with the age difference of the kids over the years.

Can you guess what the specialty is at CM Chicken? You guessed it: CHICKEN! So there won’t be much surprise as we roll through what each of us chose. Essentially you choose the chicken type you want (tenders, drumsticks, or wings) and then the sauce that you want. Starting with Chloe, she went for the tenders of course and then after talking with our server a little about her taste preference, she went with the Honey Garlic. She saw what she thought were peanuts on her chicken and so Alex asked our server about it and it turns out it was crispy garlic. She said the Honey Garlic was a little sweet for her liking but she still did like it. She also ordered some curly fries which we all just shared.

I mentioned to Alex what I read about CM Chicken having which is unique. It’s what they call “Snow Onion”. It’s a pile of sliced raw onion mixed with some special sauce. They have a listing of Snow Onion selections but you can choose any flavor of chicken that you want and just get the Snow Onion on the side. This is what Alex decided to do and he went with Garlic Soy as his flavor of sauce. He loved it!

My plan was to get the Hot Snow Onion after reading reviews of CM Chicken prior to choosing it as our location. However, as we were given our menu’s, she mentioned to us that they were out of the Hot sauce needed to make it. She said they don’t know when they’ll get the sauce back in either. Apparently it’s not a readily available sauce. In lieu of that, she asked me on a scale of 1-10 what spice level I was looking for and then recommended the Garlic Spicy Chicken. I went with her recommendation and of course added the Snow Onion. It was so good! The sauce in the Snow Onion played so well with the spice of the chicken. I can’t wait to try this again.
