Hudson 29
For the inaugural edition of Dining with Dad, we made the short drive up to New Albany, OH to a Cameron Mitchell restaurant, Hudson 29. We arrived for dinner at 5pm with no reservations and had no issues getting a table. Masks were still required due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Once at the table, we were able to remove our masks, so I was able to take a quick pic of Alex and Chloe.
The kids aren’t big eaters usually so we normally skip appetizers. However, we decided to try one this time and selected the Chicken Meatballs. You’ll find those and many other selections on their menu. Chloe liked these so much, she said that when we return, she’s getting these as her meal.
Speaking of Chloe’s meal, she didn’t really care for hers unfortunately. She really enjoys spaghetti, so this is what she ordered off the kids menu. However, the sauce they use was not to her liking. It was much more acidic than what she’s used to. I must say that I didn’t care for it either as I had to try it, obviously. Alex went with a nice classic cheeseburger, which he really enjoyed. I believe he finished the whole thing, which is unusual for him!
As we didn’t have a thought to start sharing our experiences yet, I didn’t take many pictures. In fact, I only took the one above and then the one of my meal, as it just looked so delicious.
The wood grilled salmon was absolutely delicious. It was grilled perfectly, which isn’t always the case when dining out. It still had all the juices a properly cooked salmon filet should have. And then there was the couscous! I think this might be only the second time I’ve ever had couscous and this made me definitely want more. It was delicious!
All in all, we would recommend you stopping by Hudson 29 if you have a chance. We will definitely be going back!
